DANIEL L. CASAS
|
Daniel L. Casas is a partner in the firm, with a focus on real estate and business litigation.
He is a frequent speaker on various real estate law topics and serves as an arbitrator and judge
pro tem of the Santa Clara County Superior Court.
Dan's real estate experience includes representing developers in commercial and residential projects,
lenders and borrowers in complex financing transactions and disputes, real estate brokers and agents,
private organizations seeking land-use approvals, and contractors and homeowners in contract and quality-of-work disputes.
He has also represented clients in CEQA claims and property tax reappraisal proceedings.
His business litigation experience ranges from defending complex multi-plaintiff lawsuits to litigating breach of contract
claims. Dan works closely with clients to determine their individual goals and develop a strategy to best achieve the desired result.
Dan also teaches real estate and business law courses as a member of the faculty of De Anza College.
Prior to joining CRS, he was an attorney with one of the "Big Eight" public accounting firms, Coopers & Lybrand.
Dan is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law (J.D., 1984) and Fresno State University (B.S., Accounting, 1981).
