GREGORY C. SIMONIAN
|
Gregory C. Simonian is a partner in the firm, with an emphasis in employment
litigation. He has extensive jury trial experience, having tried many cases to
verdict in Northern and Central California. Greg carries a Martindale-Hubbell
AV rating and has been selected more than once as a Northern California Super
Lawyer by the publishers of Law and Politics and San Francisco Magazine.
Greg has successfully represented employers in court proceedings, binding
arbitrations, mediations and administrative proceedings, including hearings
before the EEOC, DFEH and Labor Commission. He has litigated a wide variety
of employment disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment,
breach of contract and wage and hour cases, as well as representative and class
actions for unpaid overtime, meal period and rest break violations.
Greg provides harassment training and advice to employers and has been an
invited speaker on employment-related issues.
In addition to his employment practice, Greg has also successfully represented
clients in personal injury and business disputes including trade secret and trademark
litigation and other cases involving unfair competition and unfair business practices.
Before joining the Legalteam, Greg was a partner with an established Bay Area civil defense firm.
Greg is admitted to practice before all courts of the state of California, the 9th Circuit Court
of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts of the State of California. He is a member of the Defense
Research Institute, Northern California Association of Defense Counsel and the San Mateo County Bar
Association.
When not practicing law, Greg devotes his time to his family and community. Greg serves in many
volunteer capacities at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, and is a past board member of the Lytton
Gardens Senior Communities in Palo Alto.
Greg is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law (J.D., 1985) and Fresno State University
(B.S., Business, 1982), where he played football and was a recipient of the Athletic Director's Academic Award.
